This is the first chance I have gotten to blog about Zach's adventure this week. On Wednesday morning, January 30th, Zach was screaming and crying while staring at the ceiling. He had a bad cold that had turned into deep wheezing and he just was not himself. Heather went to the doctor as soon as possible. When the Doc saw Zach had a 74 reading on his blood/oxygen level they franticly tried to get Heather and Zach to the hospital. Unfortunately the Kaiser transport was going to take too long so they called 911. An ambulance came and sped away to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.
This put him in the ER and we have now been here 3 days to make a long story short. Zach has pneumonia (or amonia as Meags likes to say) and he is steadily getting better thank God. He had looked really poor for a while. The doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists here have been excellent. Zach continues to flirt with all the nurses...atta boy! Looks like we'll be watching the Super Bowl from a hospital room. We are all just happy the little man is doing better.
Zach is wearing "No, Nos" to keep him from ripping out his breathing tubes. He does NOT like these much.
These pictures are when Zach was looking 100% better. That's the boy we all know and love!
